A story about the Queefing Is My Superpower Shirt
Okay, so I didn’t exactly think this through when I wore the “Queefing Is My Superpower” shirt to yoga class. At first, everyone chuckled when I walked in, and I thought, cool, instant icebreaker. A couple of people even asked where I got it, and I was feeling pretty confident about my choice.
But then… halfway through class, we hit downward dog. It was quiet, the instructor was talking about “finding our inner calm,” and suddenly I hear someone whisper, “Show us your powers!” The entire row behind me started laughing, and even the instructor cracked a smile. Meanwhile, I wanted to sink into my mat and never get back up.
For the rest of the session, I couldn’t concentrate. Every time we moved into a new pose, I saw people smirking out of the corner of my eye. After class, a girl came up to me and said, “That’s the boldest shirt I’ve ever seen in yoga… and I respect it.” Honestly, I was mortified in the moment, but on the way home, I couldn’t stop laughing about how ridiculous it all was.
Now my friends won’t stop begging me to wear it again - apparently I’m officially “the superhero of the yoga studio.” I guess I’ll just own it.
